Washington, D.C. - March 25, 2025: The U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs today announced a reward of up to $5 million for information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of Guatemalan narcotics trafficker Haroldo Waldemar Lorenzana Terraza, alias “Haroldito.” This initiative, part of the Narcotics Rewards Program (NRP), complements a 50,000 Quetzals reward from the Guatemalan government, signaling a joint effort to apprehend the fugitive.
Lorenzana Terraza, a key figure in the Lorenzana drug trafficking family based in La Reforma, Guatemala, is linked to Mexican cartels, including the Sinaloa Cartel, recently labeled a Foreign Terrorist Organization by the U.S. Since 1996, his organization has allegedly facilitated the movement of multi-ton cocaine shipments from Colombia through Central America and Mexico for distribution in the United States.
The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) has secured two indictments against Lorenzana Terraza in the District of Columbia, charging him with international narcotics violations and operating a Continuing Criminal Enterprise (CCE). Four co-defendants are also named in the latest superseding indictment.
Spokesperson Tammy Bruce highlighted the reward as a cornerstone of President Trump’s “America First” policy to combat transnational crime. Individuals with information can contact the DEA via email at HarolditotipsGuat@dea.gov or text at +1 571-519-1025 (WhatsApp/Signal), or reach out through U.S. embassies abroad or local DEA offices in the U.S. Confidentiality is guaranteed, and government employees are ineligible for the reward.
