In a world rife with conflicts and challenges, Egypt has emerged as a balanced regional power, adopting a coherent policy that preserves its historical constants and strategic balances. At the heart of this vision stands President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi as the man of the moment, leading Egypt with wisdom amidst sharp international changes, emphasizing its active role in regional and international issues, most notably the Palestinian cause.
Considering it an Egyptian national security issue before it is an Arab issue.
President Sisi's Position on Global Conflicts
The international arena is witnessing an unprecedented escalation in conflicts, whether between major powers or in the Middle East, where alliances are changing and challenges are increasing. Despite the pressures and fluctuations, Egypt, led by Sisi, has adopted a balanced approach, based on not siding with any party, but rather seeking to find peaceful solutions that preserve stability and spare the region the scourge of wars.
Egypt's position was clear on various international issues, as it affirmed its support for diplomatic solutions and its rejection of military interventions that fuel conflicts, which was clearly evident in its handling of the Ukrainian crisis, the war in Sudan, and the tense situation in the Red Sea. Sisi was keen to enhance international and regional cooperation, and to present balanced visions that support global stability away from political polarization that threatens the interests of developing countries.
The Egyptian position on the crimes of the occupation in Gaza"
Egypt has always been the real supporter of the Palestinian cause, and this was clearly demonstrated in President Sisi's dealing with the Israeli aggression on Gaza. Egypt strongly condemned the massacres committed by the occupation forces, moved diplomatic efforts to stop the fire, and rushed to open the crossings to provide humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people, in a position that reflects Egypt's firm commitment to supporting legitimate Palestinian rights.
The Egyptian position was not just statements, but turned into effective movements on the ground, as Cairo led mediation efforts to stop the war and alleviate the suffering of the Palestinians. Egypt also continued its political support for the cause in international forums, stressing that the just solution is the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Rejecting the displacement of Palestinians.. A decisive Egyptian position in front of Trump
When US President Donald Trump proposed a plan aimed at forcibly displacing Palestinians from their lands as part of what was called the "Deal of the Century", the Egyptian response was clear and decisive in completely rejecting this idea. The Egyptian leadership realized that any attempt to displace Palestinians, whether to Sinai or anywhere else, means destroying the Palestinian cause and directly threatening Egyptian national security.
President Sisi adhered to the constants of the Egyptian position, stressing that Egypt will not accept any solutions at the expense of its land or the rights of the Palestinians. Cairo stressed that peace will only be achieved through a just and comprehensive solution, and not through imposing coercive solutions that perpetuate the occupation and ignite more crises in the region.
The Palestinian Cause and Egyptian National Security
The Palestinian cause is closely linked to Egyptian national security, as any escalation in the occupied territories directly affects Egypt, whether at the security, political or economic levels. The Egyptian state realizes that the continuation of Israeli aggression and pressure on the Palestinians will only lead to more instability, which makes supporting the Palestinian cause not just a national duty, but a strategic necessity to protect Egyptian national security.
Resolving the Palestinian issue in accordance with international references will enhance stability in the region and prevent scenarios of chaos that could have serious repercussions on Egypt and the Arab region as a whole. For this reason, Egypt remains committed to its firm position in support of Palestinian rights and rejects any projects aimed at liquidating the issue or infringing on the rights of the Palestinian people.
Finally, in a period characterized by ambiguity and intertwined conflicts, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi emerges as the man of the moment, managing regional and international files with wisdom and awareness, and emphasizing Egypt's role as a responsible state working to maintain stability in the region. His positions on the Palestinian issue, his rejection of attempts to displace Palestinians, and his role in supporting Gaza, reflect a consistent approach in Egyptian politics, based on principles and rights, not on narrow interests or external pressures.
The question remains: Will Egypt succeed in leading a more just path for the Palestinian cause? History indicates that Cairo, with its wise leadership, will not abandon its role, and will continue to support the legitimate rights of the Palestinians, defend its national security, and affirm that justice is the only way to achieve lasting peace.
